Called to Serve?
Of course, you are! As Christ followers we ALL have jobs to do in the kingdom of God - including youth and kids. Take a look at these opportunities and find one that you want to engage in this spring!

To volunteer for a job and for more information, call the church office (318.768.2524) or contact Bro. Jeremy (pastorjeremyjones@yahoo.com) or Melanie (melsmiles2000@yahoo.com).

Adopt A School Ministry
We have three BIG outreach events left this school year. Can you help with one of them?
  • Teacher and Staff Banquet in April (help with food prep or deliver invitations)
  • Choudrant High School Awards Day (hand out gift cards or serve pizza lunch)
  • Choudrant Elementary Awards Day (package and deliver cookie cakes and drinks for each classroom—supplies purchased by the church)

Prayer Ministry
This ministry is just beginning to form. Can you help by being part of the team?
  • volunteer to pray for specific requests received throughout the week
  • pray in the prayer room during morning worship or special events
  • help to organize and setup for “Days of Prayer” throughout the year

Youth Ministry
Our youth group is growing! Can you be an adult who loves and supports them?
  • volunteer to cook a meal for their Wednesday night gathering
  • volunteer to attend a youth event as a chaperone

Nursery Ministry
Our children are the future of our church. Can you help by caring for them?
  • volunteer for Sunday morning help during worship (infants or toddlers)
  • clean and straighten the nursery toys and equipment once a month

Care/Helps Ministry
In a crisis, even small things make a big difference. Can you meet one of these needs?
  • volunteer to cook a meal for a family in our church (hospital visit or sickness)
  • send notes of encouragement to those in need
  • visit homebound/nursing home/hospital patients

“Behind the Scenes” Ministry
This ministry is flexible but so very important. Can you create a welcoming environment?
  • straighten pews each week (replace books and envelopes, pick up trash)
  • replenish and organize “Bible Bags” to be used by children during worship
